Since its establishment in 1987, KIMCO has accumulated research capabilities in various fields encompassing materials and manufacturing processes, including not only shoes and leather, but also fine chemicals, textile materials, and ICT/smart (IoT, big data, AI). Through this, we have transferred core technologies to the industry and provided a strong support for technological innovation in small and medium-sized companies.

In response to climate change and carbon neutrality, which have recently emerged as global issues, we are building a sustainable technology convergence platform, such as developing vegan materials and recycling manufacturing methods

Furthermore, through participation in R&D projects in national strategic industries such as automobiles, shipbuilding, and aviation, we are establishing ourselves as a hub for technological innovation in materials and components.

KIMCO will do its best to drive the technological capabilities of related companies through challenging and creative research and development amidst rapid technological paradigm shifts, while aiming to become a global top-tier materials research institute.
